| Born
in Cairo 1922, daughter of Mr Habib Gorgy, chief inspector
of art, at the Ministry of education, an exponent of a
progressive school in art education. Founder of the Watercolour
Painting Society in Cairo. Founder of a school for children's
art called, "the, Spontaneous Child Art", where
more than twenty boys and girls participated in his sculpture
experiment. |

Graduated
from the Fine Art Institute in Cairo. |

| 1944-1948 |
Joined
a special art group and participated in several art exhibitions. |

| 1947 |
Started
her art teaching career in government schools. Formed
a voluntary teachng group that taught art and sports at
civic centre in Cairo. |

| 1948 |
Married
Ramses Wissa Wassef. |
|
|
| 1953 |
Began
working with the Harrania group. |
|
|
| 1954 |
Assists
in Wekalet El Ghouri Art Centre with her father in the
sculpture section. |
|
|
| 1974 |
Took
full responsability of the first generation weavers after
the unexpected death of Ramses Wissa Wassef. |
