Most areas in Egypt use 220 volts AC, 50 Hz. The rural parts are not that developed as the urban parts; therefore, they still use 110-380 volts AC. Wall sockets are the round two pin European type. Adaptor plugs are easily found in city stores but bring a transformer if you need one as these are difficult to obtain in Egypt.
