Dear Sir, I very much enjoyed your site on Egypt. I have founld it most interesting. There is something that I would like to ask. It is my dream to go to Egypt and visit all the places that I have read of for so many years and my main query is I definetely would like to visit Karnak / Luxor and also Abu simbel is a must. To get there do I have to take a nile cruise or is there some sort of other safe transport that I could consider.
Thanks and I look forward to your reply.

Hello, I've just come across your site, as a link to another one of the many I now have regarding Ancient Egypt, which I regard as my spiritual homeland, I love the country..it has so much to offer, I am particularly interested in the ancient Kemetic religion, Khem being the oldest name of Egypt, meaning Black.. I find your site very comprehensive and interesting, the hieroglyphs classes etc., interest me. I have been studying for ten years now of their ancient faith..and hope to soon have a web-site up, regarding their Ancient Goddessess, better known to them as Neterets...My inspiration in this has been Nebt Aset, better known to the West as Isis...if anyone else out-there is interested in this aspect of AE, I would be delighted to hear from them. Keep up the good work.

Your informatiom on the subject caught my eye, but I need certain information for a bibliography page and I didn't find it on any of your web pages. The information that is needed is: date of electronic publication, name of organization that sponsors the site, and indication of home page. Hello, I have recently published a website devoted to the study of Theban royal mummies from the New Kingdom and Third Intermediate Period. This site represents an attempt to bring archeological data about mummies from the Theban cache tombs together in an easy-to-access, systematic fashion. Royal and non-royal mummies from The Valley of the Kings also fall within the scope of this project.

The information presented on the site derives from numerous sources: Valley of the Kings; The Decline of a Royal Necropolis (1990), by C. N. Reeves, The Mummy in Ancient Egypt (1998), by Salima Ikram and Aidan Dodson, Egyptian Mummies (1924) by G. Elliot Smith and Warren Dawson, Smith's Royal Mummies (1912), etc. Many other sources are used and are indicated in the source bibliographies which accompany each mummy's entry. The site is extensively documented in order to make it an effective research tool for the study of these mummies, and is probably the only site on the WWW that provides systematic, well-documented data on this specific subject.

The site is under construction, but already has opened for public viewing. It is listed in the ABZU Index of the Oriental Institute of Chicago under my name (William Max Miller) and links to it now appear in the websites of Donald P. Ryan, Ian Bolton, and Greg Reeder. The USA TV's Discovery Channel (which has filmed many documentaries about ancient Egypt) has written an article about it for their website, Discovery Online, and I have received positive feedback about the site from Salima Ikram and Donald P. Ryan. To view the site click here. It is still "in progress," and will continue to develop beyond its present stage.
Thank You.
WILLIAM MAX MILLER, M A

Hello. I'm trying to find information on whether the main and other pyramids are fully open to the public (tourists). If so, when throughout the year is best to come and visit and tour through the pyramids? If they are closed, when may they be open if at all? Thankyou for your help.

We had a very lenghty discussion in our class today. We are studying the Enjoyment of Music at a Communiyty College, and as we study we came accross the subject and topic Aida. Yes, our instructor Dr. Stilwell states the Aida is an Opera but this isn't any ordinary opera this opera is from Egypt. The time of the Pharaohs. So yes, this is the information I urgently need. Especially when we have Finals and we have no clue about this unique opera in itself. Can you share with our class any information you have in the artifacts.
MARY EISELE

I Love your site and the great pictures that are presented. I have a website to create for class and I would love to use some of the pictures that are on your site. This will help me better describle the great pyramids of Giza. May I have your permission to use some of the pictures on your site. I will just have my site on the web for about two weeks and then I will take the web site off. Thank you for your time and I would understand if you will not grant me permission.
DOUGLAS CRISTALES
